Virgin Australia is tempting frequent flyers with the return of a network-wide Double Status Credits offer. Whether you’re reaching Gold for the first time or retaining Platinum for another year, this offer makes it twice as easy to lock in elite status with Velocity Frequent Flyer.
Virgin Australia Double Status Credits
Activate the offer: from 24 October to 30 October | Travel by: 31 December 2023 |
Important: Activate the offer on the Velocity website before you book Virgin Australia flights.
- Activate the offer from 24 October to 30 October 2023 on this page.
- Book an eligible Virgin Australia flight (operated by Virgin Australia, with a VA flight number, which normally earns Status Credits) by 30 October 2023. Reward seat bookings are not included. Flight bookings made by travel agents and third-party websites are eligible if the flights meet all the above criteria.
- Travel by 31 December 2023
If all goes well, you’ll get double Velocity Status Credits on all Virgin Australia flights booked and flown during that period.

Yeah BH, I did call the call centre, but the operator just seemed to read the T&C’s about the offer to me; they didn’t seem to be intimately across the ins and outs of the offer. They said that the offer should apply, but only based on reading the T&C’s that are available online about the offer.
So – I’ve booked – if I remember, will come back here to update to confirm I did get the double SC 🙂
Cheers.
Earn 60+ status credits and get bonus 100SC.
Any idea if this new offer will essentially give me
60SC+100SC as part of the previous offer as well as another 60+100 for this double SC offer? Or do you think it willonly be double SC on the original SC earnt of 60SC? so therefore
60SC+60SC+100SC
In circumstances where I activated the offer after booking but before travel, will I still get the double SCs?
Thanks
Wondering if booking flex for a date, and then changing it would still qualify for the double?
I booked a flight a couple of weeks ago, for end of February.
Cheers,
Mick.
As you observe many members have a reset date at end February (mine is in just 11 days).
As you also observe (extracting the published) terms, bonus status credits can take 4 weeks to post.
That means that those bonus credits could credit AFTER the review date of members.
IIRC there can be a grace period before status steps down…?
