Singapore Airlines’ KrisFlyer loyalty program is celebrating 25 years of operation next year with a stellar promotion – 25% off reward seats in Economy and Premium Economy on selected flights throughout 2024. While it doesn’t apply to Business or First Class, a discount on Economy is still handy for families and those looking to travel the world with the fewest possible miles.

Until 22 October 2023, you can snag discounted reward seats across Singapore Airlines’ whole network in Economy, as well as selected USA flights in Premium Economy. Just be sure to double-check your travel dates as these Promo fares can’t be changed or refunded.

- All SQ routes from 1 January to 31 July 2024
- 25% off Premium Economy rewards:
- SQ33/34 to San Francisco (blackout dates: 1 May – 31 July 2024)
- SQ23/24 to New York (JFK)
- SQ21/22 to New York (Newark)
Note that there needs to be Promo availability to see the discounted price. Not all flights within the offer period will have Promo fares available. But if they do, then you’ve secured a great deal!
What about booking with Velocity Points?
Have Velocity Points? Under this sale, some routes are now cheaper to book by transferring Velocity Points to KrisFlyer (1.55 to 1) and booking the Promo fare. For example, the Perth to Bangkok example above required 24,994 Velocity Points to transfer to 16,125 KrisFlyer miles. But if you booked via the Virgin Australia website, you would need 28,000 Velocity Points + carrier charges on top.
Transfers from Velocity to KrisFlyer are usually instant, but we suggest you double-check availability on the Singapore Airlines website before taking advantage of this promotion.
Important: Economy Promo reward seats cannot be changed or cancelled. You will forfeit your KrisFlyer miles if you don’t make the flight.

I emailed Heathrow rewards and they said all accounts using enrollment code SQ2019 would be suspended as they had “seen a recent surge in points transfers from accounts using Sq2019”.
They’ll only activate my account if I provide proof of purchases at Heathrow to prove that I am a legitimate customers.
Was worth a try I guess.

Not sure why. I clicked on the Points Balance ‘More Details’ and it says “Please note – some point types may not be redeemed for certain rewards.”
I wonder if sign up bonus points are ineligible for transfer to travel partners.
Is there a current signup bonus points offer for Krisflyer membership? It’s 14 Feb 2019, so I think the KFLY one has expired. Hoping to sign up my family of 4.
